For those who love wine, Cabernet Sauvignon is undoubtedly the first introduction to wine. As the most famous grape variety in the world, Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys a unique position in the world of wine. But do you really know enough about Cabernet Sauvignon?

The planting area is very wide

In terms of vineyard area, Cabernet Sauvignon is well-deserved No. 1: There are currently 262,000 hectares (650,000 acres) of land planted with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes worldwide! You can find Cabernet Sauvignon in almost all major wine-producing regions.
tenacious vitality
There’s a reason why Cabernet Sauvignon is the most widely planted grape variety in the world, because it’s so adaptable. In the arid area of eastern Washington state in the United States, where the annual rainfall is only 20%, Cabernet Sauvignon can still grow well and has received high praise from many wine critics. In my country's Gobi Desert region, some wineries also grow Cabernet Sauvignon grapes locally.
It can also be seen from the above table that the tenacious vitality of Cabernet Sauvignon enables it to occupy a dominant position in both the Old World and the New World.

Higher yield
If we compare the world’s most expensive Cabernet Sauvignon wine, Bordeaux Chateau Latour, with the world’s most expensive Pinot Noir wine, Romanee Conti If so, we would find that the yields of Cabernet Sauvignon are surprisingly high. Because at Chateau Romanee-Conti, each hectare of vineyard can only produce about 1 ton of Pinot Noir grapes; while at Chateau Latour, each hectare of vineyard can produce about 3.5 tons of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes!

However, in order to ensure the quality and flavor of the wine, many production areas have restrictions on the production of Cabernet Sauvignon. For example, in Bordeaux, the law stipulates that no more than 50,000 liters of wine can be produced per hectare of Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard. As the climate continues to warm, wineries now have to pay more attention to controlling production, otherwise it is easy to exceed legal limits.
