DRC Montrachet 1996–2021 Vintage — bottle and market-record review

List all 26 years instead of selecting only a few vintages

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti's official Montrachet page lists the estate's Bouteilles Récoltées for each year; the figures below are transcribed as the page appeared on 2026-07-15. The Burgundy trade body's Montrachet AOC information is used only to confirm the legal name and white-wine category. DRC is the producer and Montrachet is the appellation; Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet and DRC red wines are not included in this table.

Vintage Harvested bottles listed on the estate page
1996–2001 1996: 3,101; 1997: 2,644; 1998: 2,668; 1999: 3,590; 2000: 3,541; 2001: 3,185
2002–2007 2002: 2,321; 2003: 2,871; 2004: 3,640; 2005: 3,415; 2006: 3,330; 2007: 3,799
2008–2013 2008: 3,524; 2009: 4,079; 2010: 2,028; 2011: 3,178; 2012: 1,172; 2013: 2,309
2014–2019 2014: 3,160; 2015: 2,579; 2016: blank on the page; 2017: 2,686; 2018: 4,116; 2019: 2,204
2020–2021 The official page did not list figures for this two-year row, so it is marked as pending rather than filled from another source.

The harvested-bottle count is not the surviving quantity or the condition of any individual bottle, and it is not a ranking of vintage quality.

The filename points to 2006; only after the front label confirms Montrachet and 2006 should the image be linked to the row showing 3,330 bottles for that year.

Create a separate bottle card for the original 2015 image; the official figure of 2,579 bottles does not establish this bottle's provenance or storage.

Record the visible condition of each white-wine bottle separately

Each bottle needs photographs of the front and back labels, vintage, bottle size, bottle number, full capsule, base, upright fill level and wine colour under a fixed white balance. Glass, lighting and camera settings affect colour, so describe only what the image shows at that moment. Match wooden-case, allocation, purchase, storage and transport documents to the bottle reference. Keep the official vintage table separate from each physical bottle card; neither layer substitutes for the other.
