Two DRC Grands Échezeaux 2014 bottles and one Échezeaux 2014 bottle in a three-bottle comparison

Two wines, the same vintage, and three independent bottle IDs

The bottle inventory is specific: two bottles of Grands Échezeaux 2014, provisionally coded GE14-01 and GE14-02; one bottle of Échezeaux 2014, provisionally coded E14-01; and all three recorded as 750ml. DRC's official Grands Échezeaux page and official Échezeaux page list the two wines separately, confirming that the word “Grands” must not be omitted when the records are created.

Mark the positions of all three bottles on the first original image, then link the close-ups back to the relevant bottle ID.

Bottle ID Primary identity fields Bottle-specific attachments
GE14-01 Grands Échezeaux / 2014 / 750ml Front and back labels, capsule, bottle base, original image and document date
GE14-02 Grands Échezeaux / 2014 / 750ml Do not copy the first bottle's fill level, bottle number or condition wording
E14-01 Échezeaux / 2014 / 750ml Also link the Échezeaux wine page and this bottle's own attachments

Even with the same vintage and bottle size, each bottle must be reviewed separately

Photograph all three bottles under the same light: full bottle, front and back labels, the full circumference of the capsule, fill level, bottle base and every obscured area. If there is outer wrapping, first photograph the intact overview and any covered wording; take supplementary photographs only when authorised to handle the object, and never infer a bottle number from the list. The fill level, label and closure describe only what was visible at the time of photography; none of them alone confirms identity or storage history.

Use the second image to add position or detail. Record the left-to-right order in both images in the index.

Use three handover lines, not the phrase “three DRC bottles”

For wooden cases, sleeves, purchase, storage and transport documents, record the original wording first, then state which of GE14-01, GE14-02 and E14-01 the attachment covers. If an attachment gives only the estate and vintage, that is not enough to distinguish the two wines. If it covers only two bottles, the third remains unconfirmed. Finally, cross-check each bottle ID against the wine's official page, the original image and the documents. This prevents the two Grands Échezeaux bottles from being interchanged and stops the Échezeaux from being merged into the wrong record.
