As a renowned Pomerol estate, Petrus is known for blue-clay parcels and a wine made almost entirely from Merlot. It has a rich, opulent style and silky texture; although Pomerol was not included in the 1855 classification, Petrus has substantial international collector demand.
2013 Petrus valuation considerations
For Petrus, 2013 is not a particularly sought-after vintage and market demand is more measured. Any offer is therefore based primarily on the physical condition of the bottle.
Please note that bottle condition and provenance can influence the price more than the vintage alone. Storage conditions, the number of cellar moves, invoices and the original case are all relevant to the assessment.
Before offering Petrus for sale, check the following
- Format: Magnum and larger formats, as well as full cases, may carry an additional premium.
- Provenance and packaging: Invoices, the original wooden case (OWC) and cellar records support provenance; an intact full case is preferable.
- Physical condition: Fill level, capsule fit and label integrity are the first points reviewed in a valuation.
- Authenticity features: Clear images of the producer's security label and identifying number can assist verification.
To request a valuation, provide the vintage, quantity, and photographs of the front label, back label, capsule and fill level. Dibao Wine will give an indicative assessment based on condition, provenance and current demand. Handover may be arranged at the shop or by collection in Hong Kong or Macau, with the final offer confirmed after physical inspection. WhatsApp / WeChat: 96737259.
