Valuation notes

La Tâche is a Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) Monopole of about six hectares, wholly owned by DRC and situated in Vosne-Romanée beside Romanée-Conti. Made from Pinot Noir, La Tâche is known for a full body, pronounced spice and mineral notes, and firm structure, making it one of the more powerful wines in the DRC range.

1960 La Tâche valuation considerations

1960 La Tâche is an old vintage with limited market availability. Bottle condition and provenance are central to the offer, so clear photographs are important for the initial assessment.

Regardless of the vintage's reputation, the physical condition of the bottle remains central to the valuation: the fill level, label and capsule integrity, original packaging and provenance evidence all matter.

Main factors in the valuation of La Tâche

  • Bottle format: Magnums and other large formats are scarce and may attract an additional premium.
  • Bottle condition: Check the fill level, whether the cork has sunk, and whether the capsule or label is damaged or mouldy.
  • Provenance: Purchase invoices, the original wooden case, and cellar or merchant records provide useful provenance evidence.
  • Authenticity and security features: Clear images of the producer's security label and reference number support verification.

Before requesting a valuation, prepare the vintage, quantity and clear bottle photographs. Dibao Wine will review the bottle and current demand before indicating an offer; handover can take place at our shop or by collection. Public market references are for guidance only. Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about valuation, provenance, storage, handover and payment before you send photos.

Which photographs should I prepare for 1960 La Tâche?

Provide separate clear photographs of the front label, back label, fill level, capsule and bottle base of 1960 La Tâche. Clear images make it easier to confirm the version, condition and quantity in one review.
