Valuation notes

La Tâche is a monopole of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC). Covering approximately six hectares and owned entirely by DRC, it lies in Vosne-Romanée beside Romanée-Conti and is planted to Pinot Noir. Compared with the more delicate character of Romanée-Conti, La Tâche is known for its full body, pronounced spice and mineral notes, and firm structure, making it one of the most powerful wines in the DRC range.

La Tâche buyback by vintage

This page covers enquiries for all vintages of La Tâche. Each vintage differs in remaining supply, bottle condition and market demand. For older vintages, fill level and ageing of the cork and label carry particular weight; for more recent vintages, the original case, quantity and complete provenance are often more important. Provide the exact vintage, quantity and bottle photographs first so that we can respond according to demand for that year.

Details considered when valuing La Tâche

  • Bottle format: Magnum and other large formats are scarce and may command an additional premium.
  • Authenticity features: the estate's security labels and identifying numbers can help with prompt verification.
  • Physical condition: the fill level and the condition of the capsule and label are the first points assessed.
  • Provenance and packaging: invoices, the original wooden case (OWC) and cellar records are helpful, and an intact complete case is preferable.

To sell, send the vintage, quantity and clear bottle photographs. We will give an indicative assessment based on condition and current demand. If both sides agree, handover can be arranged at our premises or through an on-site visit in Hong Kong or Macau, with the timing and payment agreed in advance. WhatsApp / WeChat: 96737259.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about valuation, provenance, storage, handover and payment before you send photos.

What information is needed for a La Tâche valuation?

At minimum, provide clear photographs of the front label and fill level. Photographs of the back label, capsule and original case help us assess La Tâche more quickly and accurately.

Is La Tâche in strong market demand?

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti wines from Burgundy trade actively on Hong Kong's secondary market. The actual offer for La Tâche is assessed from both the vintage market and the bottle's condition.

The label is slightly worn. Will this affect the buyback?

Minor wear is common and does not necessarily determine the result. Show the condition of the La Tâche honestly in the photographs and we will assess the bottle as a whole.

How long does it take to sell La Tâche?

Response and appointment timing for La Tâche depends on complete photographs, the seller's location and assessor availability. Any handover time is agreed before the visit.
